For the last 8 years, Camy has worked across several NZ banks delivering several projects and developing a deep understanding of mobile application development, test automation, release workflows, and powering up several testing guilds, while converting a lot of test skeptics into true believers.

Camy is currently working as a full-stack tester at BNZ, where she’s busy building test automation suites, quality engineering practices, and culture from the ground up.

Keynote: Test Engineering Manifesto

Camy will open the floor by talking about her group's vision for organising this conference.

Camy will also kick off our expert speaker series for the day by talking about why teams and organisations consistently fail at building quality into their products and ultimately paying a hefty price in terms of poor customer experience and a massive amount of tech debt. Something that she has witnessed over and over again in her career.

Camy plans to share with us her guiding principles/manifesto for building a superior product that can be delivered to the market at a much higher cadence.

This talk will not just focus on writing test automation but also the importance of choosing the correct test frameworks and programming languages. What type of test to write, where and how often should your test run (CI/CD), building quality metrics in, faster release cycles by cutting waste (test data/env/code), minimizing tech debt, and building a solid engineering culture.
